Reminder that the Spatial Analysis presentation for the month of March will be held on March 26th, 2020 at 1:00pm-2:00pm EST, in collaboration with the CSTE Health Disparities Subcomittee and the Public Health and Healthcare Analytics Workgroup. Relevant annoucements regarding the Spatial Analysis Workgroup will be posted on Basecamp ahead of the presentation.
DESCRIPTION:
AIDSVu is a free, online, interactive website that maps the HIV epidemic across the United States. AIDSVu displays HIV surveillance data on prevalence and new diagnoses at the state-, county-, and city-levels, along with mortality data and information on PrEP and PrEP-to-Need. Most of the data on AIDSVu can be stratified by age, sex, race, and transmission categories, allowing users of the site to view groups most impacted by HIV in their communities. The website also allows users to overlay service providers, including HIV testing sites, PrEP providers, and care location, on top of the map. This can be incredibly helpful when determining the nearest provider or assessing the number of providers located in areas where there is high need, such as areas with high rates or numbers of new HIV diagnoses. The data and maps on AIDSVu are downloadable and printable so users can perform their own analyses or use in presentations. AIDSVu aims to take HIV information and present it a way that makes it readily available, easily accessible, and understandable for everyone to use.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
· Understand how AIDSVu can be leveraged to garner knowledge on HIV information in local jurisdictions.
· Identify areas with gaps in access to HIV related services, such as testing, care, PrEP, and Housing opportunities
· Learn how to use the AIDSVu website to download data or print visuals for use within their own programs and projects to catalyze success.
About our speakers:
Chandni received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Community Health from Texas A&M University in 2016, and her MPH in Epidemiology from Rollins School of Public Health in 2018. Her main areas of focus include sexually transmitted infections and vaccine acceptance. She joined PRISM in 2016 as a graduate research assistant and now works as the Data Analyst for the AIDSVu and Powered By projects.
Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia, and her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked with sexual minority populations, data analytics, and surveillance throughout her career, including research on STI risk perceptions within WSMW and WSW populations in the South, clinical data analytics with a small healthcare IT company, and foodborne surveillance at the CDC. Elizabeth joined PRISM Health in August 2015 as a Data Analyst for the AIDSVu, HepVu, and other Powered By projects and is now the Associate Director.
