👍 NACCHO Opportunity

NACCHO has an opportunity to identify 1-2 stakeholders to be part of the Pandemic GIS Task Force convened by the NAPSG Foundation, National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC), and the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association (URISA). This task force was established in May 2020 to develop a nationwide strategy and plan for unifying data and technology at the local, state, and federal levels and to work toward increasing pandemic preparedness and unity of efforts in response.

Level of Commitment
Currently, the Task Force is meeting virtually every 3 weeks – focused on developing the Pandemic Technology & GIS Playbook. Senior Staff from NAPSG and NSGIC are handling coordination, meeting idea capture, and the GIS Pandemic Playbook writing process. Thus, the primary role of the Task Force members is to provide expertise, thought leadership, and serve as liaisons back to each organization’s staff and membership.
