I like the content of the questions but I worry that the answers would not be the same for one jurisdiction to all other jurisdictions.  One tool I have seen used in the past is the PARTNER tool out of Denver.  Its more for collaboration, but it might be an interesting concept to explore quickly (I know we are trying to get responses by the end of the month). https://visiblenetworklabs.com/our-product-solutions/

Thanks for putting these together, Rasha.  I think these questions are important to ask when jurisdictions are using the DUA template and adding specific details.  I recommend taking a step back and asking the group about what type of DUA or MOU they would like us to design.  Here are some examples:

  1. What jurisdiction do you represent?
  2. What type of jurisdiction do you represent?
    1. Local (city/county)
    2. State
    3. Tribal / Native American lands
    4. Other:
  3. Does your jurisdiction have access to the NSSP BioSense Platform – ESSENCE?

Hi Rasha,

I hope you are well. The meeting in Atlanta was very interesting and informative. Keaton put together this summary from the meeting discussions:

* Focus is to develop data sharing protocols across states
* Aggregate vs line-level
* Develop a master DUA for all states – replicate how Vital Records data is shared nationally, albeit different mechanisms
* Constant sharing purposes vs being prepared to share in emergency situations
* Developing use cases for sharing purposes

Also, attached is a document titled “The Network for Public Health Law: Checklist of Factual Information Needed for Public Health Agencies to Address Proposed Data Collection, Access and Sharing”. This document was disseminated at last week’s meeting in Atlanta. This information might be helpful moving forward with our work.
