We are excited to invite you to give feedback about your experiences with the DSTT. As you may know, the CSTE has contracted with two external evaluators (David Napp and Jane Conklin). They are conducting a web-based survey of all DSTT learners. Per the expectations of the DSTT, all learners are expected to participate in evaluation activities. Please see our email earlier today with additional details and a link to the survey. Contact Bernadette Aylward at baylward@cste.org if you did not receive the email.

Hi All!  For those working on syndromic surveillance projects, we would love for you to be a part of the NSSP CoP Syndromic Surveillance Symposium.  Next week is the last call for abstracts.  I have details listed below.

The 2021 Syndromic Surveillance Symposium Call for Abstracts has been extended! Abstracts will be accepted through Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT. Syndromic practitioners and epidemiologists are invited to share their work, best practices, and lessons learned via submitted abstracts.
 
Submit an abstract  https://cste.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0GO3mMHTTWzmktM, and learn more about the event at the Symposium webpage https://nsspcommunityofpractice.org/annual-syndromic-surveillance-symposium/. There you will also find information on abstract requirements and the planning process.
 
As a reminder, the 2nd Annual Syndromic Surveillance Symposium will be held during the week of November 15th, 2021 to support the growing community of epidemiologists and public health professionals practicing syndromic surveillance. Final dates will be determined closer to the event, and the Symposium may be in-person, hybrid, or virtual depending on the current public health travel recommendations, CDC and STLT travel policies, and member feedback.

Dear DSTT participants

We are excited to invite you to give feedback about your experiences with the DSTT thus far. As you may know, CSTE has contracted with two external evaluators (David Napp and Jane Conklin). They will be conducting five virtual focus groups with DSTT teams in late-May through June. Per the expectations of the DSTT, all teams are required to participate. Each team will be asked to choose two members to participate in one 90-minute focus group. Please see our email earlier today with additional details and a Doodle poll to sign up. Contact Bernadette if you did not receive the email. 

To facilitate scheduling, we ask that teams sign up no later than Friday, May 14.

Early bird registration for CSTE Annual Conference is open now through April 30! DSTT participants are encouraged to attend and teams can use the training stipend to cover the cost of registration.  Team leads: if you have not yet submitted an invoice to receive the training stipend, please be advised that invoice processing and getting the check out and received takes about 30 days. When registering, there will be an option to pay by check at a later date (before May 24th). Contact Bernadette Aylward (baylward@cste.org) with questions about your stipend.
