Common Questions about Subaward funding

The most important thing up front:  ​Teams are not required to repay the funds if they are unused. If your agency has any restrictions on how funds can be used, those would still apply. Some teams may need to sign a no-cost extension or similar amendment to the original funding agreement. If this applies to your team, please get in touch with me and we can address this. 

Access to Coursera will continue through April 2022 (because of the delay in launching this program component-it is a 12-month license). 

Teams can still purchase software licenses, pay for conference attendance, engage a consultant, or any other permitted use of funds. These purchases can be made after the end date of the program. We would encourage you to use these funds in the near future to capitalize on your momentum, but recognize that this may be a challenge.
