The past decade has exposed major gaps in the public health informatics infrastructure, many of which have been highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding constraints and limited strategic planning have left our public health systems siloed and ill-prepared to handle large-scale responses.
Join ASTHO for a webinar spotlighting research gathered by analyzing health agencies' informatics strategic plans, initiatives, and roadmaps. Then, learn how we tailored that information to support the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation and Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) by developing a roadmap for its informatics strategic plan. We will be joined by Subroto Banerji, CNMI's chief operations officer, as he details how his agency is using the roadmap to build up data and informatics capacity. A question-and-answer period will follow the presentations.
