eCR/RCKMS Community of Practice

The purpose of the eCR/RCKMS Community of Practice Basecamp is to provide staff from state, local, territorial, and tribal public health agencies with a venue to participate in peer-to-peer discussions pertaining to using RCKMS. This Basecamp is not intended for formal communications about RCKMS or eCR and will not be moderated by CSTE staff. Ask on Entry Question Standardization

Hi all,
I was wondering if there has been any previous work by this group or by individual jurisdictions to standardize in what section ask on entry questions are placed. Indiana recently received some placed under the lab results section in a test message. I am happy to have them but wanted to see if anyone else has had them moved to a different section like clinical information or have had new sections created for questions like this.

That's really interesting and we haven't seen that yet, but I agree, that would be interesting to see. Are you participating in the DIBBS eCR Viewer project? Perhaps you can send them the de-identified xml and RR and they can work on something for the viewer. I've been sending them any unusual message so they can test it. Maybe also send it to the NBS team who's working on 7.x and they can work on something? -Marisa

AOE questions associated with a lab order would likely logically be associated with the laboratory results (and included, where appropriate, in any separate ELR message). 

If there are questions asked of the patient (or provider) outside of the lab order workflow process, these would likely NOT appear in any lab section (if the questions were not part of a laboratory results reporting requirement for that particular condition.)
