eCR/RCKMS Community of Practice

The purpose of the eCR/RCKMS Community of Practice Basecamp is to provide staff from state, local, territorial, and tribal public health agencies with a venue to participate in peer-to-peer discussions pertaining to using RCKMS. Labels in the eICR Viewer/eicr message

We currently receive eICRs in TN for COVID and ware working them in our staging environment. When the messages come through, the Encounter information comes through with the provider information but then says Responsible Party and that is the MD information. It seems like a weird label for a provider. Responsible party seems like it should be guardian information  or emergency contact information. Would there be a way to better label this section? It comes in the message as an element responsibleParty in assignedEntity - but that doesn't translate into the eICR viewer.

Check to ensure that Responsible party does not mean the same as payer. In Virginia, responsible party usually refers to the person or entity paying for the lab test...
