The purpose of the eCR/RCKMS Community of Practice Basecamp is to provide staff from state, local, territorial, and tribal public health agencies with a venue to participate in peer-to-peer discussions pertaining to using RCKMS. This Basecamp is not intended for formal communications about RCKMS or eCR and will not be moderated by CSTE staff. Hello Everyone:

The CSTE RCKMS team is inviting you to attend an upcoming Reportable Conditions Knowledge Management Systems (RCKMS) Community of Practice (CoP) virtual Town Hall, scheduled to occur on Wednesday March 30, 2022 @ 2PM – 3PM EST. Please use the attached zoom meeting invite to save the date to your calendars.

On this RCKMS CoP virtual Townhall, we will focus our discussion around two main areas: 1. RCKMS Content Development and 2. Introduction of the new RCKMS Authoring Support team. We also welcome your input, feedback and questions during this session.

Presentation title: RCKMS Content Development: The Life of a Reporting Specification
Short description of presentation: Members of the RCKMS Content Team will discuss the process for creating content for electronic case reporting in RCKMS.  This will include how conditions are selected for inclusion in RCKMS, how the team develops content for each condition, how community feedback is collected and used, and other considerations during content development.  An overview of the RCKMS Reporting Specification documents will also be presented.

Friendly reminder: much of the eastern seaboard has shifted to daylight savings time (DST). The same time, expressed as both DST and EST, should have different values associated with them to reflect an event that is occurring and one, specified, moment. (2pm EST is 3pm EDT).

Please consider using “ET” if you meet 3pm eastern time, regardless of what day/month you are concerned about.

Also note that the House of Representatives hover yesterday to permanently change the US eastern seaboard to Daylight Time.
