Graphic Novel - New Educational Materials Launch and Graphic Novels for Order
Dear grantees,
We wanted to make you aware of new educational materials to accompany the graphic novel. There are also more graphic novels in the CDC warehouse so if you would like to order some see the guidance below.
Our new and revised STEM classroom activities for use with the “Junior Disease Detectives: Operation Outbreak” graphic novel are available on our graphic novel landing page (www.cdc.gov/flu/graphicnovel). (For background, the new classroom activities being added were sent around previously for review by USDA, and they also were reviewed by the National Pork Board and AASV). These finalized materials are enclosed in this email in the zip file labeled “v2.0Activities.”
To assist in promotion of the new educational activities, we have printed another 4,000 copies of the graphic novel. These materials are being stored in the CDC On Demand warehouse, and they can be ordered from the On Demand website under Pub ID 300568. Anyone can order a free copy of the graphic novel there, but orders over 1 must be approved. First priority for approval of larger print orders will go to 4-H groups and K-12 teachers.
