Social Media Resources
Laura Smith, a Health Communication Specialist in the One Health Office, compiled some resources for everyone that may be helpful for developing and promoting social media messaging. Many of the resources are specific to CDC, but can be applied more generally as well. After discussing this program with our social media team, they do not recommend using Twitter, Facebook, or even Instagram to reach out to a youth audience, but instead they think reaching out to their influencers (parents, teachers, local leaders) would be more effective as they have direct access to this audience.
