Cool project! This is amazing! 

I wonder what you could get out of syndromic surveillance in terms of a baseline or a prevalence estimate for IFTs (as an alternative to, or in addition to a smaller chart review, for your eval plan). ..? Could you bring on interns, nursing, or med student(s) for the chart review? This seems like a great thesis/paper/poster opportunity. 

Another question - do you have any provider-advisors onboard? I'm curious if you could get a champion to encourage this project as a way to evaluate IFTs within their facility, improve compliance, and tie back into some quality measure of interest to hospital or provider leadership? 

I'm curious if your measures could be informed by some external measures of use to the hospital - that'd increase their motivation to participate and might mean your data quality is higher than it might be otherwise. Any similar measures/registries in use in other states or EU? How did they market to their internal and provider teams? 

Any IFT patient stakeholders who might be willing to advise your evaluation plan? (I'm particularly interested in feedback about refusals and if there's any way to mitigate that with pt input?).

Ran across a relevant paper regarding your evaluation plan. It's not specific to your questions, but might be a helpful model for evaluation plans generally (and the specific measures to include are pretty basic) to include some measures of health disparity.
