I just wanted to quickly introduce myself - my name is Eva and I am with New York State DOH. This is my first time serving on this type of work group - so I'm not exactly sure how things go. I was hoping that we all could may be hop on a conference call and talk through our task.
I have created a doodle pool https://doodle.com/poll/xfepmxevv4abzhve
so if you could respond there, I can set up conference line and we can go from there.
Thanks!
Eva
Thanks for responding in doodle, it looks like Sept 6th at 3PM Eastern time works for all those who have responded.
I will be out of office (Aug 30 - Sep 5) so I wanted to go ahead and book that time for now.

We are moving the call to Sept 7th at 11AM Eastern time. I’m hoping this time works for all.

Thanks for setting up the call. Unfortunately, I had to leave abruptly for another call. Please let me know if other calls or activities are planned.
Thanks again
Brian
I apologize for missing this initial call, as I had an unexpected medical issue come up. Were notes taken that will be disseminated? Please do let me know if there are any action items I can get started on.
Best,
Mackenzie

Thanks for such a wonderful discussion on the touch base call for those who were able to participate. The discussion will definitely help us keep in track as we move along in this process. I'm sorry that few of you were unable to participate - I believe a couple of new members were added in a bit later - so may not have received invites on time, I have taken few notes and I will try and post it soon.
I am thinking that basecamp will be the primary way of communication, but we can definitely try to use emails as reminders for upcoming calls and such.
Thanks!
Eva
1): LD and PF: note, this is not an exhaustive review. I just pulled a sample of articles that describe signs and symptoms for LD or PF or both. I pulled the information together in a spreadsheet (attached below and also uploaded into the LD and PF folder), to give us a better idea of what has been described and to also demonstrate the diversity of symptoms and the variation among approaches. As I mentioned on the call, we attempted to capture some of the clinical differences between LD and PF in this table: https://www.cdc.gov/legionella/clinicians/clinical-features.html
2) Imaging: these are some articles that discuss some of the gaps in chest imaging (e.g., false negative chest x-rays early in the disease process). Perhaps this information could help us with the question that often arises: this person has fever and cough but the chest x-ray is negative... could he/she have pneumonia?
Please let me know if you can't access any of these files.
Thanks!
Laura
