Variant Sequence Reporting and Related
Hello,
Thank you everyone for a great ELR monthly call yesterday! The presentation by Duncan MacCannell from CDC covered a lot of ground. So much so that it was decided to continue this conversation on the open ELR call tomorrow at 4 PM ET.
Brooke is putting together some notes and we are asking for a copy of the slide deck Duncan used.
The discussion as we left off was diving deeper into the intricacies of reporting of IDs and the content needed to be able to find sequence info in the various databases (GISAID, Genbank). We still have some further questions on IDs, any issues with them, the inconsistencies and how they should be reported and captured. With a goal of being able to standardize what is reported.
It was also mentioned in a chat that there may be a need for a 3rd call that was more epi oriented. Please post here what the idea for that would be and any other comments you may have.
thanks!
