CSTE Strategic Plan
In 2021, CSTE launched a new Strategic Impact Plan to set its priorities and direction through the end of 2022. The plan
frames the current climate in which our members operate and suggests how we can respond to challenges both political and
conventional on the horizon. As in years past, drafting the strategic plan was a months-long effort that included stakeholder
interviews, staff workgroups, and dedicated sessions with the CSTE Executive Board (see page 6). This comprehensive process
is also an essential period of reflection, especially during this era of pandemic response.
The 2021–22 plan includes a central
theme to “Inspire our members
to accelerate the impact of applied
epidemiology on public health and
policy actions,” recognizing the 2021–22 Strategic Impact Plan
weariness of our membership.
Four strategic priorities (Advance, Central Theme:
Equip, Advocate, and Optimize) Inspire our Members to Accelerate the Impact of Applied Epidemiology on Public Health and Policy Actions
are supported by a fifth cross-cutting
priority to “Strengthen CSTE’s public
health presence and communications.” ADVANCE EQUIP
