We are still working out our plan of attack but right now it might look something like this:
1. Develop a proposed working draft chapter outline based in the 2nd edition outline in the table of contents - include placeholders for areas of anticipated changes
2. Run the draft outline by the entire chapter work group and have a conference call to:
a. get input and revise as needed,
b. work out a timeline with roles, responsibilities, and objectives.
c. Establish a target goal: Are we shooting for having better outline or possibly a draft of the revised Chapter 6 done by the March meeting?
3. We would use the Basecamp Google doc for entering in the drafted proposed revision language that each person comes up with for the parts they agreed to do. The Word doc would be available for individual authors to use offline, as needed, to develop their draft revision language (example: it could be cut and pasted into the Google doc once they feel it's ready for others to review).
Does that sound reasonable?
attached are the notes I promised to send you:
1. The beginning of an outline that includes the CIFOR Keys to Success and the table of contents from the 2nd Edition 2. What I had written down from the Jan 18th discussions. I likely missed several points, misinterpreted others, or overstated points - so these are only intended to help move the process forward.
I didn't get all of the ideas from the meeting included in the outline but I didn't want to hold you up any further.
Hope this helps.
