• Co-signed numerous other advocacy letters to Congress and federal government agencies, including:
                       » a CDC Coalition letter to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees in support of at least $10 billion in funding
                       for CDC.
                       » a letter to appropriators in support of $750 million for the Title V Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant.
                       » a letter to appropriators in support of at least $322 million for CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health.
                       » a letter to appropriators in support of $60 million for CDC’s Advanced Molecular Detection (AMD) program.
                       » letters to Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Representative Ami Bera (D-CA), and Representative Scott Peters (D-CA)
                       expressing support for H.R. 791, the Tracking COVID-19 Variants Act, which would authorize up to $2 billion in
                       emergency funding for the AMD program.
                       » a letter circulated by the Coalition for Health Funding, Committee for Education Funding, Coalition on Human Needs,
                       and Campaign to Invest in America’s Workforce calling for an increased funding allocation for the Labor, Health and
                       Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee.
                       » a letter to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky requesting that the U.S. maintain the face mask requirement for public
                       transportation until such time as low transmission rates of COVID-19 and high vaccination rates make it safe to lift.
                 • In collaboration with DEH partners, formed a DMI workgroup to monitor plans for existing federal appropriations and discuss
                 pathways to new funding and awareness.
